Need help w/Front Axle on 72

Hello all it is now warming up and time to fix the toys I broke this winter.

I have a 72 4wd blazer with the 44 front. I have to replace both the inner and outer sections of the passenger side front axle.

I can not find one, they seem to only go back to 73. I heard a 73 would work, but then I have to change a seal?

Please help, I need to have this together in a few weeks for some Wheeling.

Yes, I know I need a 60, but not able to swing it now. I am looking for a good deal on a 60. Once I find it I will build it and put the 44s under my jeep.

OH I also have to replace the inner and the outer. I broke both at the u-joint, so a complete inner and outer would be great. Where ever I may find them.

Bump... Has anyone had to swap out the inner and outer axle shafts on a 72, w/dana 44? If so wht are my options, no place has it listed back past 73.

Try the 4x4 forum, you should get more answers over there.

Yes, the 73 up will work fine. In fact they are beefier, as they are a little larger, with a larger u-joint. I gather them up when I can for spares.

I have it all back together tonight. Now just waiting for the battery to charge since it sat for 6+ weeks. Going out tomorrow. Will take some pics for everyone.
