Powder Coating
I know some of you guys are powder coating your own small parts and I thought I would give it a try. I have an old oven that i picked up for nothing and I have seen these kits offered on ebay for as little as 70 bucks. Are they worth buying ? What brands are better than others and what should I stay away from. Any input would be appreciated.

The Eastwood kit is an excellent product. I have coated everything from A-arms to full frames. Let me know if you have any questions.

He used the heater stand and did it an area at a time. Unless he owns an industrial oven of course.

I use the Hotcoat gun and prefer it to all of the hobby guns. For two reasons One the gun cups screw in from the bottom, Two the power (activator) button is a push button and not a foot pedal.
I have used it for all sorts of things in my house or in my trucks. I also powder coat for extra side money for my stepside. If you decide to buy a powder coat gun and need powder try Columbia coatings , they have never let me down on price or quality.
