Power-lite power rear window

Hey guys, I got a Power-lite power rear window that rolls down the entire window like the old blazers and broncos used to do. I think it is made by CR Laurance but can not find any info online about this window. I tried contacting a couple companies that use the CRL stuff but they never heard of it. I really like the idea of this thing as I got the crewcab and a normal side slider you can't reach. Anyone heard of or got one of these?

Cory

Re: Power-lite power rear window

1Track: I have a power slider in my '78 c-10 SWB that I've had for about 20 years. It replaced the stock sliding back window and operates exactly like a manual window (side-to-side). I can't find the literature that came with the window right now, but the company was located here in Los Angeles. I hate to say it, but I've never hooked it up to witness the operation of the window.

Mine works great! Needs some cleaning up, and the weatherstripping rehung, but it still does its thing.

Looks like they've only got 3 and 4 piece windows listed on the site any more.

Re: Power-lite power rear window

I've got one as well and am awaiting another truck (crewcab) to put it into. And yes, they WERE made by CR LAURENCE close to 25 years ago. I contacted them about 15 yrs ago about the possibility of getting replacement parts for if needed but since they hadn't been making them for a while they had nothing for them any more. I took mine to a glass shop to have the weatherstrip replaced in it and so far have had no other issues with it.... Well besides the fact that it's taking up room in my bedroom closet until I can get another crew cab.
