Shorten aSteering Column
does anyone have pictues or can explain what all i have to do to shorten my steering column?

Stock, Astro or??? If you look in the Board FAQ thread there is one on shortening a stock column and another on Astro and early van column modifications.

Do a site search for "faq thread" it will show up as first listing. click on the listing and scroll down about 5 posts to "interior threads". I copied them in the order I found them in that thread. When I clicked on them from the faq thread the photos showed up. From my post below I got red X too.

I just looked and the photos have turned to red x's. Usually that means the place where the OP had them parked has deleted them. PM me with your email address and I will send you the ones I copied when I was researching mounting my column.
