What is a fair price for a doube walled top?

I am looking to get a top for my K-5 and was just wondering what would be a fair price for a double wall top, I have a line on one but do not want to over pay for it! any help would be appreciated. any down sides to a double over a single would be appreciated as well!

Most people like the single wall tops because there easier to remove the side panels dont need to be removed

I sold one a year ago for $125, it was in good shape and included the rear hatch and all hardware. Both the buyer and I were happy with the price.

found a double wall one with some fiberglass damage from being moved around, has a new back hatch and looks good but seems a little pricey at $450!I might make an offer and see were it goes!

Re: What is a fair price for a doube walled top?

It's all about supply and demand. I'd probably not pay more then $125 for a doublewall, maybe $300 for a single, but I have a top so it's easy to set a low price.

New (reproduction) rear hatches are around $450 without glass, seals or hardware.

Why don't you look into a soft top? http://www.softopper.com/ recently started making new soft tops.

I paid 200 for a pretty nice single wall. Id give you my double wall if you were close enough to pick it up. No way 450 for a double. IMHO

The hatch is what will make or break the deal. I had two decent double walls with no hatches, and I couldn't give them away. I ended up hauling them to the landfill.

Re: What is a fair price for a doube walled top?

I already have a soft top, I have worn it out in 2 years from putting it up and down so much, would like the option of a hard top for Dec-Mar,then maybe Jun - Aug. had the old SBC top I believe with the track at the front and tailgate and sides to attach! Does any one have a soft topper and how do they like it? When I have tha spare $800 laying around I plan on getting one! Shoot does any one have $800 lying around? I'll take that as well!

I'm going to be selling my Double Wall Top. It's 9 out of a 10. But has some strange slider windows on it.

All you guys on the West Coast! I need to move I guess! I see a lot of parts from out that way. The shipping would kill me! Thanks though. sooner or later I will find one closer!
