Re: 68 shop truck build

Heres the old cab that i will finish.

Cab corner didnt fit quite right, nuthn some filler wont take care of
http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/a...g?t=1268106402
a couple of questions, what filler should i use to put on the welds to keep moisture out of the pin holes, fiberglass right?
And who thinks i should run trim?

yup everything, maybe not paint, because i dont have a booth, and for what i would pay for a gun my dads buddy would paint it, and he is one of the best custom painters around.

Re: 68 shop truck build

Anybody know what i can use to get in there to grind this?

And there's a super small hole, probly cant see it, what can i use fill it, cant get my welder in there. i plan on putting some seam sealer in there will this suffice? probly por15, the whole floor and under the cab then raptor line it, will this do a good job of stopping and preventing rust in the future?

Re: 68 shop truck build

Nice project you have going. Yep. I have had good luck with Por-15. Just get some and follow the instructions and it will explain how much you need to do before you apply. I think it will save you alot of work you just need to clean the area. Good luck

Re: 68 shop truck build

Got my dropmember in. Which was way easier than i expected. still have to press in the lower ball joints tomorrow. and my bags should be in tomorrow too.

the notch cut outs arent perfect. pass. side is a bit too high like 1/16-1/8 at most.
