Headers contacting shift linkage

Anyone else have this problem? I'm developing a good rattle under the truck when it's lugging - the header is tapping against the shift linkage. I already can't get the truck into L1 because of the interference. What solutions are out there?

Trans is a TH350, and the headers are Hookers.

Re: Headers contacting shift linkage

I've got a big block with a 700r4 and had the same issue with linkage. I had to get a lokar linkage kit and that fixed it. Lokar makes a cable type and a rod type, but they're not that cheap either.
