Lower A-arm Bump Stop
Is the lower A-arm bump stop really needed? What exactly does it protect against. I have my A-arms off the truck about to get powdercoated and I was thinking about taking off the bump stop holder to make the a-arm look better. I have seen some other people do this, and I was curious as to what it even protects against. ('82 SWB, 305 by the way)

You can take it off and grind it smooth if you want. It depends on how much drop, tire height, etc if it's truly beneficial or not.
If you do need one you can add an better looking one that bolts on later.

Alright thanks, I was planning on doing 2" drop coils, 3" drop spindles and 20" wheels with an overall 30.4" tire diameter. The tires on the wheels are suppose to be near stock wheel/tire setup. So I dont think I would have a problem, but I think I might just keep them on just to be sure. Later down the road I might just get tubular A-arms anyway. Thanks for the help though.
