New stance! Finally!

I finally got the spindles and flip-kit mounted! It still seems to sit about an inch lower on the passenger side front, but I'm hoping some new 2" lower springs will fix that right up. Going to order those tonight. Also going to order some new shocks all around. I think I may go an inch or so lower in the rear as well, but I'm still not 100% sure yet. I'll get the front lowered and see where it is from there.

Anyhow, the front passenger side wheel still seems to fit about an inch or so further in, so I may just have my Dad make a spacer for me until it comes time for me to do the frame-off restoration (but that will be a while).

I also think the rear wheels sit further in than what I would like, so I may also get some adapters for it. I plan on driving it daily, so I really need to be able to rotate the tires (otherwise I would have gone with wider wheels in the rear).

I'll be hitting all that rust in the rear under-carriage next weekend and painting it all black, along with adding a smooth roll-pan, adding some tailgate hidden links and latches, and replacing the factory tail lights with some custom teardrop LED's on the roll pan.

So, what do you guys think so far?

Re: New stance! Finally!

It looks so much better with the new wheels and tires. I think it still needs to come down in the rear some, but that's your call.

Is it just me, or do the front tires lean out at the top? It appears to have a LOT of positive camber \\===//

Re: New stance! Finally!

Thanks, they're actually called "Old School" by MB from Discount Tire. Much cheaper than the 338's and look pretty similar. I have a buddy that works at Discount Tire and hooked me up with them for $1,200 with 20" wheels and 245/40 Yokohoma S.drives.

I agree with you, I think I may go another 2/2.

Re: New stance! Finally!

Yeah, I think that's one of the reasons why I feel the passenger side looks a little further in, but I only notice it on the driver side. I'm sure they'll fix that during the alignment and maybe it won't be as bad then. I'll wait on getting the alignment done until after I get the new drop springs for the front, though. Then, I'll see if the passenger side still seems further in and build a spacer at that point.

I think you all twisted my arm. I'm gonna go ahead and order some lowering shackles along with the front springs and shocks

By the way, the first pic was the "before" and without the new shoes (just for reference).

Re: New stance! Finally!

Looks nice but I agree a couple more inches lower would look awesome..

Re: New stance! Finally!

I'm not sure why, but I liked it better before. Really strange because I don't even like the wheels in the first pic. I think maybe just go a little lower and lose the rear bumper.
