Decided to keep 'er
I recently put my crewcab up for sale...well after cooling down(thread; Not very happy),I have decided to keep it. I am gonna start by replacing the body mount bushings w/energy suspension parts. Then I will be getting all the inspections I need to put it back on the road.
Then I will be looking for drop spindles, rear shackles/hangers,and wheels/tires. I just need help keeping 'motorvated'! -Lance

Re: Decided to keep 'er
lol, YOU WILL THANK YOURSELF LATER! I DID THE SAME THING THE OTHER DAY . I BOUGHT MY TRUCK FOR 2 GRAND ABOUT 5 MONTHS BACK AND GOT FED UP BECAUSE A HOSE ON MY AFTER MARKET FUEL TANK LEAKED 40 BUCKS OF FUEL OUT ON MY WAY HOME. I LISTED THE 86 SWB ON CL FOR $3,600 FIRM AND BACKED OUT WHEN I WAS ACTUALLY OFFERED THAT AMOUNT. THE GUY EVEN OFFERED $3,800 AFTER I TOLD HIM THAT I CHANGED MY MIND. BOY WAS HE PEE'D OFF!!!!!!!!

Re: Decided to keep 'er
will body mounts cause the driver's side fender to not align properly with the door? (larger gap @ bottom than top?)

Re: Decided to keep 'er
yes but also check the structural integrity of the cab itself. The vendors and catalogs sell replacement pieces to put on the cab if that is rotted out.. this happens in the salt belt

Re: Decided to keep 'er
No rust. I think I will just replace the bushings and go from there.
