master cylinder to prop valve line trouble
i hope one of my fellow board members can help with a very aggravating problem i am having with my 4 power disc conversion i am attemting to finish up. i am currently converting my 71 lwb over from manual disk/drum to 4 wheel power disc using captn fabs astro van disc conversion brackets for the rear, very good quality stuff by the way. i have everything done except i keep having trouble with getting the right steel lines that go between the master cylinder and the prop valve. i bought a master cylinder/booster set for a 88 s10 from orielys, the prop valve came from jegs a disc/disc valve. all i guess i want to know is can i use my corvette style master cylinder w/ an 88 style s10 booster, the master cylinder it came with will not work with any of my steel lines i have like three new set none will work with that style master cylinder!

Re: master cylinder to prop valve line trouble
not to contradict what LOLIFE said, but I will assume that you are having trouble connecting the lines to the MC? If you take the MC to NAPA, and find the right fittings, the will accept the proper sized line, then all you will have to do is to double flare them. They MIGHT even have some adapters to keep you from having to flare the lines

Bend your own lines. I posted up the set-up from POL, because it's clean and already pre-plumbed. But the lines from the porportioning valve (to the truck) will probably have to be re-bent anyway. cparman's solution, is a cheaper one.

Re: master cylinder to prop valve line trouble
Yes you can use the Vette master with the S10 booster as long as it's a master for power brakes. And make sure the short pushrod in the booster is in there.
