Duals
Has anybody here ever ran a catback exhaust with no mufflers? I was told it sounds pretty good but my definition of good may be different.

Re: Duals
I think it will be loud, if you are keeing the original cat that came with the truck, it might be shot anyways, but i wouldnt suggest it, its loud.

Re: Duals
Depends on how loud you want it. My friend is running a cat back on his f#@$ and it sounds ok, little loud for my taste. I use to love the sound of true duals with glasspacks, but after getting pulled over several times, I lost interest. Plus everyone around here that has there daddys truck runs them straight piped and its really annoying. Im actually gonna quiet my truck down some.

Re: Duals
I know! And for some reason, they think they sound so much better. Hell, it dont cost that much to get a good quility exhaust system put on, and with there parents money, they should be able to. And like you said, its normally all the 2000 and up model trucks.

Re: Duals
Get a Magnaflow with a 14" case length. The round case versions will be louder than their oval cased mufflers. A good muffler can still be loud if its small and more importantly a DEEP tone sounds better than open exhaust.
Something like this is perfect for what you want. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-12615/ |

Re: Duals
Yeah, they're expensive, but they're the ticket. I have them on two of my trucks, wish I had them on my other truck but will have them on it soon. Deep and sick, especially if the cats are gone - insane go-pedal music.

Re: Duals
Gonna try to split it behind the glasspack that's on it now. That should make for an interesting sound.
