Re: finally got a burb
awesome burb.
my dad had a 72 just like that back in the 80's....same factory short arm tripod mirrors. his also the cab lights (saved for my 72 burb). i just need to find a set of mirrors like yours since my truck has the very unusable sport mirrors. totally awesome that your truck already has a newer 350 and an OD trans...perfect for modern day use. if you plan to haul with your burb and not going to lower it, i'd suggest standard 3/4 ton rear coils (a factory option on all 1/2 ton trucks) my dad did this on his burb 25 years ago because the original 1/2 ton coils were sagged after only a decade or so. burbs have more body weight out the back anyway and really need the extra capacity. another trick my dad did was make extenders with a piece of chrome pipe (same dia. as mirror arm) and a longer so he could see better for towing our old camper. just get that truck cleaned up and enjoy her! |

Re: finally got a burb
Ever since reading about this, and how it was originally purchased by the girl scouts. You should name her "cookie" or something of the like...
