Upper rear main seal.

Has anyone ever used a tool like this to remove and install the upper rear main seal.

Model No: 648461
Upper Rear Main Seal Remover/Installer
For removing and installing rear main crankshaft seal without engine or crankshaft removal. Corkscrew puller removes old seals. Pulling wire and handle assembly with spring clip are used to pull new seal into position. One extra spring clip included.

I have always pushed it through with a small tool. Like a small pocket screw driver.

I’ve used a similar set up on pump packing, same principle. Works slick if all the old packing material comes out. We also found that even with the graphite impregnated ones it helps if you lube it with some moly grease first.
