Re: My dash facelift
no, sorry, Tx Firefighter that came with the truck when I bought it. Do you know anything about them? Because mine scratches the paint every time I open it, rattles around when I drive and doesn't even seem to fit right.

Re: My dash facelift
That looks real nice Forestb, did you happen to get an original steering wheel with the truck when you purchased it?

Re: My dash facelift
The only reason I asked about the ashtray is that I sell a good number of chrome powdercoated ashtrays on ebay.

Re: My dash facelift
Ya it did come with the original steering wheal but it has some pretty large cracks in it and I'm 6' 4" and I can barely get my knees under it.

Re: My dash facelift
Lower your seat. I'm also 6'4" with 36 inch legs. I lowered my seat a couple of inches and have lots of room under my stock steering wheel.

Re: My dash facelift
What Tx Firefighter said, If you run the stock steering wheel and you're tall, lower that seat and you'll be set but definitely make sure you hang on to that wheel, don't get rid of it. Refurbishing it will make a good project, you'll be glad you did in the end and I personally think a stock wheel would look sweet in that nice interior of yours. There is also a post on this forum about a member that re-sized a stock wheel and it looks good. It's another option if you wanna run the stock wheel but not lower your seat.
