Help with PSP please

Ok,so my 400 turb needed a rebuild or replaced.I found a rebuilt th350.I thought since I was wanting to put new inner fenders on and clean the engine bay up some,I would take the front clip off and pull and reinstall engine and new trans tranny as one unit.I do a tune up oil change and paint the engine and ancillary parts...(power steering pump and gear box).I get everything back together..runs like a champ..but now I have no power steering. I refill the PSP with power steering fluid.I do the wheel turn lock to lock on jack stands. I've done some searches here and some say to use ATF..My question is did I jack up my PSP by putting in ps fluid?

Re: Help with PSP please

Try removing the belt and turning the pulley counter clockwise to prime the pump. Power steering fluid is what you should run in the pump.

Re: Help with PSP please

You can use power steering fluid or ATF. Make sure you have enough fluid in the resevoir. Bleed air from pump again. Make sure hoses are on correctly at the steering box and the pump and not kinked.
