What Plugs To Use???????
I am currently using Autolite #24 plugs gaped at .05. I am wondering what other plugs are an option for me to use in my truck other than the Autolites? Also what plug types for my application are "hotter" and which ones are "cooler" than the Autolites? Thanks

points or hei? just use what gm recommends for points or hei or expirament with different plugs. i use ac delco's for 76 and newer trucks with federal emissions r44ts or r45ts and hei.

Anyone use those splitfire plugs? Are they all hype or is there an advantage to using them?

My experience with SplitFire plugs was inconclusive. The biggest impact they had on my truck was the cost of the plugs.
I have used AC Rapidfire plugs, and been very satisfied. Even the old style R45TS plugs are good. If you're running a .050 gap, you must be running an HEI. Otherwise, conventional ignition systems are hard-pressed to fire a plug with a wide gap like that. I gap my plugs for the HEI, at .045. I do not recommend using the Bosch plugs. They just don't seem to hold up in my engine. Ditto for Champion. Like I said, AC works for me, whether R45TS or RapidFire (for more expense).
