Qustion about a flip kit
Im going to do a rear end swap and was wondering if a flip kit is as simple as just putnig the rear end on top of the springs instead of buying the kit? What does the kit include?

Re: Qustion about a flip kit
well, i did my own flip, all i did was buy a set of new perches from a suspension shop for 2.5 leafs, and it was as simple as measuring it and welding it, i got a good 5 to 6 inch drop with no problems other than bottoming out when im hauling a$$, other than that i costs a total $40.00 and am happy with it.

Re: Qustion about a flip kit
Either do as mentioned (cut off the old saddles & weld new ones on the housing) or, for a 'bolt-in' deal you'll need the relocation brackets in the top right hand corner of the pic above @ the least. Prob is, I don't know of anyone that sells only the brackets. They sell 'kits'.

Re: Qustion about a flip kit
doesnt a flipkit have the holes offset to keep the wheels centered.cause if you just welded the saddles to the rearend it would slide it forward.thats what i thought.you can see it in the kit picture where the spring plate hole isnt centered.

Re: Qustion about a flip kit
I build flip brackets for the '73-87 . I am also working on a c-notch, spring plate etc. to offer a complete flip kit for these.
