Transmission rebuild woes

Got my th350 transmission rebuilt with B&M race rebuild kit and stage 2 **** kit and man does it shift sweet but they said I needed to have my driveshaft shortnened 2 inches since I did the flip kit on my truck. no problem drop a bill getting that done .Pay my bill at the shop and drive home so happy. That was until I come walking back out to put my subs in the truck and I see the pool of transmission fluid under the it. Turns out the drive shaft is now too short.

Its a one piece driveshaft .Are there any trucks that that I can get a driveshaft out of to have shortened with will fit? Looks like this time I will only get it shortened one inch.

Man this blows.

Re: Transmission rebuild woes

I'm a novice with drive trains but I wouldn't think a short shaft would cause a fluid leak. I may be off base but it just doesn't sound right to me.

Re: Transmission rebuild woes

I think they were blowing smoke. My driveshaft was fine after the flip kit.

Ya I think they were BS'n me too. I wish I could of seen how bad the driveshaft was before they took it out and told me to go get it shortened. Now they are not awnsering my calls and my truck is down at the shop.
