Unmolested craigslist find....

Not offiliated with the Seller.

I was wondering what the "More Knowledgable" Members thought of this Truck and his asking price.

To ME it seems a liitle high $$ wise, but then again Matching Numbers.
Speaking for myself, "Matching Numbers" don't mean that much, but then again I'm more of the "Hot Rod" type.
In our Marriage and the Wife is more of a Stock/Rat Rod type.

Then heres our Friend thats been trying to Sell/Trade his Truck for the last 10 Months!
So MY question would be, is he being picky about his Trades or are there problems with his Truck.
Not baggin on him, just wonder why after all this time, he's STILL got it?

Re: Unmolested craigslist find....

Can't wait to see the feed back on this one. Looks original enough.
I was offered 10k once for me rusty72/350 longbed,
But I think he was full of it, completely. Personaly, 8k Seems high to me.
Maybe the 6cyl 3 on the tree's are rare, I don't know. But perception is most of the value of anything. If YOU think it'll make you happy, Then it's a good thing.

Re: Unmolested craigslist find....

Looks like a great truck. However it is near the coast so there could be rust issues from the salt air.Not much in the way of options but looks like it's very well kept.I think the $$ is a bit high but "IF" it's truly rust free it might bring that.He may have to wait a while to get it in this economy though. The area "may" make the price more reasonable bvut I'm not familiar with the market in SF.

Re: Unmolested craigslist find....

That truck is pretty well price i was a day late and a dollar short on my dream truck. It belonged to my buddy chuck and it sold within a few days for 9000 probably one of the slickest 67 big back glasses around today. Just some comparision on pricing.

Re: Unmolested craigslist find....

My first reaction is that it's on the high side price wise.
It's a sparsely optioned rig, and rims are replaced with something else other than original (which tells me there may be something else going on). So the "unmolested" BS is out the window for me.

If I saw that on the side of the road here in CA with it's options, with a price like that I'd smile and keep walking...

Re: Unmolested craigslist find....

The Bay Area is full of vehicles like this, they are usually in pretty good shape. The area he's in isn't on the ocean, so rust won't be an issue. Fair price... start with the cleanest vehicle you can find.

Re: Unmolested craigslist find....

It's a little high. I've seen similar trucks here in San Diego for around $5,000-$6,000, not often but once in a awhile. The economy is bad and sellers are getting a little desperate for cash. Many have lost jobs here and are on the verge of foreclosure.
