Finally dropped the 72
Well as promised, pictures of my 72 after the drop. It came out to be about a 2.5-3" front and a 5" rear. It actually seems to ride better as odd as that is. Thanks for the help during the process!

Re: Finally dropped the 72
Looks great.
So what system did you use to drop it? ECE 4/6? Can you provide a few details like how long it took you?

Re: Finally dropped the 72
Quote:
I am guessing my truck may have been lowered at one point in time by the PO because it already has a adjustable panhard bar and shorter KYB shocks in the rear. I pulled the front coils and cut one full coil off and it got me about 2.5-3" of drop and it actually feels like it rides better in the front, to me at least. It took me about 30-40 minutes per side depending on if your ball joints come loose as easy as mine did. Still need to get shorter shocks but the stock ones haven't bottomed out on me yet. On the rear I already had 2 inch blocks and just ordered some 3" drop springs from Brothers which was having a really good sale. They were around $98.00 for the pair. They took about 1.5 hours to put in by myself and another 15 or so minutes to dial in the panhard. Hope this helps.

Re: Finally dropped the 72
Looks perfect. I would not go any lower. It's nice to have some ground clearance in case you go over something in the road or need to haul something heavy.
