Fortunately, I had a very clean and straight top, it has a few hairline cracks but for the most part, it was in great shape. I cleaned it two times with a boat hull fiberglass type cleaner and a delicate power washer. My buddy used a one step enamel type paint that could have also been used on car bodies also, it has a pretty high gloss but it just makes it look very clean and new looking. The color is a bright white color. We used the same paint for the wheels also. After it dried, it is super hard to the feel and I am very happy with the results.

I forgot to give it up to BobbyK for all the advise he gave and all of his extensive pics when he redid his, his work was phenomenal and vitally important when I worked mine, Thanks BobbyK!

The biggest thing about the pattern was that as you remember was the fact that the pattern across the back was ok for the back but there was not a just plain straight ribbed pattern for the seat bottoms. Originally the pattern started in the middle of the back and went straight down to the bottom and over the front edge of the seat and down without repeating the middle back pattern. Sounds complicated but we had to repeat the design at the middle back on the seat bottom also, which really turned out OK but it was not a perfect 100% match. I also did not match the plain ribbed pattern on the back of the rear seat only because I failed to send them a picture of it. I just know they sent me several samples that were not correct and insisted that this was all they had. I never take the first 5 no's for the answer so someone mentioned a guy there name of Doug (I think) and I contacted him by phone, emailed a pic of what I needed to his personal e addy and he located it, and sent me pics to confirm. Once that all was done, it was a piece of cake, just $75 a yard! But when I got it, you could tell it was old school stuff, on the shelf a long time but it was ok strength wise according to the little upohlstry girl.

Thanks for the info guys, I actually sent them bottom and back fabric. I was concerned that I get enough matr'l to do the job. Do you remember what the actual repeat of the fabric was. Sounds like from you description, the seat bottom will not be exactly right...she told me that they have to make it, so this would not be something off the shelf and I should be able to get any repeat that I want

The seat bottom is not exactly right, you are correct. I don't know what she meant by they would have to make it. I am not home right now so I can't measure the exact repeat but I think it was 16 inches or so, I will measure when I get back. I would be interested to see yours when you get it from SMS.
