Wiper motor Upgrade
I have a 70 c10 and my wiper motor acts up and is very slow and some times stops working, I was wondering if a newer chevy truck wiper motor would work for my truck or any cross references. I would like to upgrade to a newer model if possible. or would it just be smarter to just replace it with one thats specified for my truck

Re: Wiper motor Upgrade
Have you checked the wiper switch to see if its loose? If it is, it will lose the ground and will be slow.

Re: Wiper motor Upgrade
I see no point in making all kinds of mods to have the exact same end result... wipers going left and right.
Just get one for the correct year/application. You'll be amazed at how fast they will go. Swapping tip... the p/n is the same for a 69 camaro... so i KNOW they make it. |

Re: Wiper motor Upgrade
I just did the swap last weekend. I put in a factory replacement and I am blown away at how fast and great it works. Dont for get to lube the wiper posts and linkage.

Re: Wiper motor Upgrade
just cleaning and lubricating makes a world of difference and cleaning elecrical contacts helps too// another thing overlooked is condition of the glass with todays products for polishing glass that can make a big difference in seeing and making the wipers go better too
