Re: Painless LSX wiring?
i've used two of them . the one i used in my '69 to run my 6.0 came with the computer and wiring harness and the other the other used the factory camaro computer , both were simple plug and play. the one that i used in my truck does not control the transmission , i used a 700r4 in it . the other that i used in the '71 does control the transmission , it has the ls1 with 4l60e transmission ,also used the fuel tank out of the z-28.

Re: Painless LSX wiring?
Do you have the 6.0 stock wiring harness? If so, I can recommend a place to have the stock 6.0 harness worked for way less than $900+ but if you want that painless kit let me know.

Good to know!

I want to keep the cruise control (I have a 2006 drive by wire) I will have A/C I will be using a 4L65e adapted to my factory np205 transfer case. I would like the factory computer to be performance tuned a little, nothing serious, just add a few ponies here and there but keep it nice and reliable for a DD.

Re: Painless LSX wiring?
I used the stock harness with Current Performance relay/fuse block. I wired it all up and it works perfectly!
I would have Current Performance do what you want, www.currentperformance.com Tuning is the 'easy' part, LOL, I get 14-16MPG from my 6.0/4l80 combo with 3.73s. Runs 8.9s @ 80 on motor and 7.8 @ 88 on a 100 shot. Love the truck!!

Re: Painless LSX wiring?
I would have went thru the harness and gotten rid of some of the excess wiring that is in the van harness that I have. I will end up doing that this summer probably. otherwise, it was pretty simple! (and I hate wiring....)
