Re: Wanted: Motivation.....where can i get some in oregon?
Yeah.....human psychology----my new fascination/hobby.
1) i've decided that i basically don't want to work on cars anymore---i've decided to basically pay someone else to work on my vehicles. Sure, for simple stuff like changing oil and minor maintenance, i'll still do it myself. But, i've basically decided to go the traditional route of buying a car, making payments and having the dealer or shop work on it if something goes wrong. It's not that i'm not into cars anymore, it's that i've decided to focus my energies on other things----such as finding that special soulmate etc. 2) As far as motivation, these two always do it for me: Watch this documentary in full if you have time: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/tankman/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosa_Parks Maybe forget about the truck for a few days or weeks and then come back to it. Or focus on an area that maybe does not get much attention---in my case it is electrical or brakes. 3) Is money a problem? 4) Or, just ignore everything and dismiss me as some kook that doesn't know what he is talking about and doesn't know the difference between P and S (urine and feces). But i had to say what i had to say. |

Its car show season! Go to one car show without your truck and I guarantee that will be motivation enough

I think all members go through a similar process with their projects. Heck, I just drove mine to a show this weekend and had the water pump go out on the way home. These trucks are never-ending projects and most wouldn't want it any other way. Look through some of the build threads on the site and see how other members are dealing with the mundane process of building from the ground up. If that doesn't help, pm me and I will make a trip out to take that beauty off your hands. Best of luck with the rest of the project! Now go get to work!

I have size 12 steel toes!
When it actually gets and stays sunny out, it'll come back. I know this constant wind/rain just drains it out of you. So ya first or second week of June. |
