Rally Wheel Paint Code

Does anyone have a paint code for the silver paint used on Chevy Rally Wheels? I believe it is called Argent Silver but not sure.

Thanks!

Re: Rally Wheel Paint Code

Many Camaro parts vendors carry the oem correct Chevy Ralley Wheel paint. I believe that Argent Silver is not 100% concours correct because the original silver used for Ralley Wheels actually had a slight green gue to it. I usually just use Krylon Matte Alumium, used to be called Dull Aluminum. Looks great but no green hue. I personally think the oem greenish silver is ugly.

Re: Rally Wheel Paint Code

Thanks, I do not want a green tint ether. I do want to shoot it with an automotive paint though. Does anyone have a paint code for Argent Silver? I get a good deal on Martin Senior Paint and Have a painter that owes me some trade work.

Re: Rally Wheel Paint Code

I have never had luck with the durability of spay paint. Is this stuff equal to a good automotive paint?

Re: Rally Wheel Paint Code

not really sure about the green tint in any of those you listed. i know that the eastwood argent silver seemed pretty silver to me. i have since painted my ralley's red to match the overall "rat rod" theme of my truck. it will ultimatly be hot rod black which i will buy from eastwood and detailed in red. when i saw the eastwood tent at the swap meet, i bought a few cans cause i saved a few bucks off of the retail price plus i saved on shipping. my suggestion to you is to call eastwood. their number is in the link i provided earlier. i have used their spray paints and powder for powder coating and have seen a few cars painted with their product. they seem to offer a decent quality paint. good luck.

Re: Rally Wheel Paint Code

I use Duplicolor FM149 for all my argent silver needs...

...and have for many, many years. You might need to repaint them every 5 or ten years, but I'm ok with that.
