Tab on crossmsmber

Does anyone know what this tab is for? I was thinking about cutting it off, just need to know if that's a bad idea.

Re: Tab on crossmsmber

if im seeing it correctly, that is the driver front cross member. that tab with a hole is where you run the brake line from a hard to soft line.

Re: Tab on crossmsmber

nevermind, just saw it on the other side. dont know why it is on the front side rather than rear side. mine has it on the rear as you see the hole. i guess since you are not using it it should be safe to cut off.

Re: Tab on crossmsmber

Yeah my brake line tab is on the front, I have seen this tab in other people's pics too without the hole like yours has. I know if I cut it off it will end up being necessary down the road.
