Anyone see anyproblems with this?





trans pan gasket was leaking so i fugured it was time to do a little maintnence. i got a new filter and rear seal and pan gasket. dont leak anymore but this is exactally how it looked when i took it apart. is this bad? the bottom of the pan didnt look bad at all but what worries me is the crap on the filter.. isthis a bad sign? alsothe filter had a hole in it as shown in one of the pics.. the trans dont slip it works great. i drive the truck every day.. anyone know if this is bad or not?

Doesn't look too bad. Looks like that filter has a lot of miles on it. Throw a new one on and drive it.

I am no expert, but it runs and drives fine as you said. I would run it for a couple of weeks and then change it again. I would also put one of those drain plugs in as well. Unless you are willing to rebuild the whole thing wait till she dies or slips. looks as if she got warm once.

i just put the tranny in a couple months ago butdidnt pull the pan before idid so thats pretty much how i bought it.. and i was going to weld a drain plug in it but it started leaking really bad and couldnt wait till tomorrow to drive it to my shop where the welder is. so i just had to do it in my garage. if it comes off again its for sure gettin a drain plug
