Re: Air compressors

When it comes to single and 2 stage compressors I have some questions.
I am looking at the IR brand units. The vertical 60 gallon 5hp setups. But I am unsure about getting a single or 2 stage setup. I am trying to wrap my head around the cfm stuff. The single stage says it puts out 18cfm @90 psi and 15.5 @40 psi with a max pressure of 135. The only info I have found on the 2 stage unit is 14.7 cfm @175psi which is the units max pressure.

I have a line on a 4 year old 2 stage unit for $675 and I am just not sure what to do. Tool wise I plan on running standard air tools, Die grinders, light painting, and maybe a table top blast cabinet.

Any thoughts guys?????????????
