68 C-10 Gas Pedal
In my truck there is no gas pedal. There is just the steel end of the bar that connects to the linkage. How does a pedal connect to that ?

From what I have heard, there are the two little bumps beneath it that the pedal hooks into somehow, and just rest like a roller perhaps on the bar. I just go pedalless personally with no issues.

Re: 68 C-10 Gas Pedal
the pedal pad just lays on the bar, it connects and pivots off of two studs that are screwed into the floor pan- these can be tough to get to snap into place. The pedal acts as a lever/flat area to push on. It is a very simple design and very failsafe only problem occurs if motor mount breaks and pins the steel linkage rod in the WOT position.

Re: 68 C-10 Gas Pedal
like 71 super says. If you put the gas pedal on the two studs that attatch to the pedal and they won't stay you can order new studs from LMC, for cheap money

Re: 68 C-10 Gas Pedal
That's pretty funny 68C20.....my pedal looks just like that and there is no way I'm changing it. I hate the "feel" of the original pedal design where it kind of slides on the pad part. I have gotten really used to the feel of just the arm and I love the throttle control feel it gives me. She's a stayin' just like yours!
