Question I swear I used the search first?lol

I recently bagged Sweet Pea...And I had to convert from leaf spring suspension to trailing arms...And with that addition, came a deluxe trac bar from C.P.P (35'') model ..In there directions it just says to adjust the trac bar with the truck on the ground. And I am assuming that would be ride height for a non bagged truck.....So my question is do I set the trac bar now at my ride height?.Which Is unknown yet.....I have not drove it enough to find the Sweet Spot for my most comfortable ride?.........Any tips or a starting point as far as rear PSI would be great......Sweet Pea is a 1/2 LWB.......Thanks in advance.......Tony P....

Edit......Not sure if this matters or not...But I am also running 3 inch C.P.P lowering blocks as well..............Thanks again Tony..P

Hey Tony,...
I had my alignment shop align the front with the ride height as low as possible, and still be in alignment.
On my blazer,... that wasn't very low. (my prior 5/6 static drop was lower)

Then I just set my rear height where it looked good. (Rear of the blazer NOT lower than the front,... just about level)

I run 80 psi in the front and 50 psi in the rear of my Slam Specialties re-7 bags.

Tony,
I set my bar at the lowest actual ride height I would see. you need to then measure the distance from the ground to the wheel well arch on both front and back so you can duplicate that height at the alignment shop.

I centered mine by measuring from a flat portion of frame to wheel (or brake component). guess in short, I didn't center the rear aired out.

ol' Sweet Pea sure looks nice! long, lean, and green!!

Thanks So I I am assuming just set the track bar as close to ride height as possible..And have the front aligned the same........

Thanks Doug......And Thanks Keith when you chime in..lol....Sorry guys..I get paranoid in things I do not know. Or how they completely work....And I just want things right...MY rear tires are roughly 180 a piece,and I just dont want to ruin them.It may be hard getting my wide shoulders at ride height under this thing...lol....But I will figure it out......I am still in the messing with it stage.......It is just so freaking cool to me.......About the best thing I think I have done to Sweet Pea......This whole system seems so concrete......If I had a complaint.....It would just be the speed going down.....It is a little to fast for me....But I seen a few threads on fixing this......And I have looked into Dump controls ....Not sure which route I will take......My fingers are the regulators ATM. Hopefully I will get the exhaust all done this weekend.....Its cruising time......

When my truck is dumped the tires are very very close to the inner wheel wells, so I set the panhard bar so that it clears when it's dropped. You don't get a whole lot of side to side movement anyways.

Dump control valves work. Some use pipe plugs with holes drilled in them to control the air flow out of the valve.

If you want to estimate your ride height,... set that and then put the rearend up on jackstands (under the axle tubes), to adjust the panhard bar. (also gives you room to get under the truck)
I used a couple small ratchet straps to pull the frame left and right.
These will also hold everything centered while you adjust your panhard bar.
