Retro fit tail/lift gate on a barn door Burb?

Can a tailgate and lift gate be retro fitted to a Burb that came with barn doors? I see the spots where the latches would bolt, but don't see where the tail gate hinges would bolt? Anyone done it and what's involved?

Yep! Ya need the lower rear tail gate hinge body bulkhead its removable hatch and end gate misc hardware and youre in biz. Would be best to have a donor burb available for all the misc and measurements.

You need the upper bulkhead for the liftgate hinges to mount to as well. It's not a bolt on job converting to gates. Going from gates to barn doors is.

I have the upper and lower parts they are talking about that the hatch and gate hinges bolt to. completely rust free too.

I'll keep that in mind. I paid for them but I won't go to Maine to pick them up until June or July when it is a little warmer. If I have to drive that far, we will make it a little mini-vacation to make it worthwhile. Bought them only looking at photos so won't know if their condition warrants changing out those headers until I pick them up. They are supposed to be real good and have been in storage for many years. We'll see.
