Tahoe Bucket seats in a 71 GMC

I am new to the forum and this is my first post. My question is, I have a 1971 GMC LWB Truck. I was given front seats out of a 2001 Yukon. I am planning on installing them this weekend. Does anyone have pics of simular seats mounted and what kind of reinforcemnt would I need if any?? Thanks in advance.

Well,welcome to the site!!

I don`t have any pictures.I have seen posts with those seat installed.I believe they make for a tight fit if you are fairly tall, mostly due to the thicker backs.Hopefully someone else ca help with pictures or point you in the direction of a thread about this install.

Re: Tahoe Bucket seats in a 71 GMC

These seats are out of a 2002 Bonneville. I believe that the seats out of a truck are not quite as deep and will fit better. I slipped the steering column about 1.5 inches forward to give more room. I had to drill just the inside holes in the floor pan - used the factory holes otherwise. the bracket going off of the back go to the old seat belt holes. The new seat rails are bolted to the upright portion of the bracket.
