I believe that you could get the CST either way - Not 100% sure though. More than likely originally a fleetside though as thats what most of the better optioned (CST) trucks were though.
Is the original options sticker not still on the inner glovebox lid? That would tell if it had power brakes or not.

do you have the vin number to it? that can help some, and how many lugs are on the rear?

it should also tell on the options sticker if its a CST or not...but then again, the glovebox door may have been swapped from another truck...so check the vin from there with the vin on the door jamb plate. also, i think it's been decided that swb = short wheel base, and lwb = long wheel base. the holes in your roof may have been from some sort of antenna, like for a CB or something. CST was dropped from trucks in 1971 in favor of Cheyenne, I do believe, but they kept CST for 71 and 72 on Blazers only (if optioned).

swb is short wheel base to 99% of the people, and lwb is long wheel base to the same ppl. If you say that to a dealer you'll get laughed out of the shop. (even JC Whitney calls them fleet and step, not narrow and wide)
As for the holes, some one probably had a CB antenna or some kind or rack. They are not original or anything.

i guess i made up the short wide and long wide thing in my head... the bed was a fleetside... we saw it at the place we got the truck from but he wouldnt give it to us. options sticker is gone. heres the wierd thing... he took the engine and tranny out of the swb truck and put it in the lwb 70 and took the vin plate off the swb and put it on the lwb so the title is for the lwb really but originally it was for the swb. in the future we are going to rivet the vin plate back down and put everything off the blue lwb on the swb except for the bed which will be a short step. sticker in glove compartment is gone.
