Re: Did I choose the wrong glass guy?
Does anyone have any experience using soff seal window seals? Are they good, bad or okay?

Re: Did I choose the wrong glass guy?
I like soff-seal, haven't used them on my truck but they are (were) pretty high quality.

Re: Did I choose the wrong glass guy?
Well,
The third glass guy just gave up. I contacted GMC Paul for a Precision seal. Hopefully it will work. This is really chaping my ass now! Including flat bedding the truck all over, I have now spent over $400 and still no windshield. I could understand it if the truck was rolled and the pillars were bent but that's not the case. |

Re: Did I choose the wrong glass guy?
I finally got the windshield in yesterday.
The moral of the story is; Use a Precision seal and you wont have to spend five weeks and $500. |

Re: Did I choose the wrong glass guy?
Wow I don’t think it should be that hard... I had never installed a windshield before and did mine in about 30 minutes. I put the seal on the window and then set the window in the frame and worked from the bottom up. Was tight in the corners but i just worked it!
