Hi, New to Forum 81 C10, BBC

Hey guys, and some gals?

Needed a truck to pull my 20' Fiberglas Glastron Carlson CVX-20 Intimidator (Chev 350, mild build,~300-320HP - IN THE BOAT)

So here she is.....

Spent the weekend re-doing the brakes. All I have left is lines if I want, but they're good, so we'll see, I might just do em for good measure

Also re-aligned the entire body, the thing was out of wack. Everything rattled.
Gotta get some paint custom matched so I can do touch up and then block out, wet sand, and buff the whole thing.

RUST FREE, absolutely. Sick. One of the cleanest ones I've seen in person. (Aside from an actual show truck)

58,321 ORIGINAL miles.

T350 Trans with a shift kit... slaps pretty good, no stall tho, just a reg old TC.
Doesn't kick down right, I think the bracket on the intake is off the original 350.
Need to make some adjustments, there's barely a spot when lugging 3rd that'll kick down if I romp it, but that's it.
Also have to check the vacuum to it, and replace the module if necessary.

Engine.

'72 402???

Engine Partial VIN 12C190751
Code T0414CTB
Cast 3999290
Date Code CONV1 (??, didn't see the standard date code anywhere)
other CM9T

??? Tonawanda Engine Plant, April 14.... ? 72? LS-3 AR ? 240HP 2 Bolt??????

She's got MSD and Accel HEI, 8.5mm wires, headers, 3" pipe, Muffs, Tips, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and Performer 1407 750cfm

Engine has obviously been done and has a light mild cam

Would be nice to have another take on the engine, as original per codes. 210/240HP?
I can hit 3rd gear chirp with some CRAZY wide tires and limited slip/locker...
BOTH always light up, but it is a diff.....

Were the 240HP tuned down as far as ignition exhaust and carb?
If so, then that engine, even an original 210/240 build would produce more with new exhaust/intake/ignition/carb????

I haven't pulled a head yet to see what's up, and mic it. She's far too fun to drive! Would be nice to see what the actual bore is tho.

Also, I'm unfamiliar with BBC heads (Always had SBC's).
I know they are oval port, but don't know casting numbers, or what they might be (Chamber size, compression they make vs bore, don't know if they're good heads)

More info soon, got some more stuff in the works.
Rumor has it she had a blower on her in 2002... I'm gonna stir one up and throw it on so that the scoop isn't so obsurd

Any input appreciated. Especially with the motor/heads.
