1987 gm 10 bolt carrier bolt torque

I am ready to torque the front differential carrier bolts on my 1987 V2500 10 bolt and want to double check the bolt torque. I read it was 80 Ft LBs, is that correct?

Thanks,

Randy

Re: 1987 gm 10 bolt carrier bolt torque

My chiltons manual just ignors the differential like it is just too difficult to manage. It was the same for by 2000 doge ram and had to get this information off the internet. Anyway I will call the GMC dealer today and see if they can get me the carrier bolt torque.

When i build one i always torque the caps to 60 ftlbs. I have built a bunch and have not had any problems so far.
