Re: airbag setup!!!!!
Look at tcb-1's build thread
Very good write up. Super clean and detailed. Most people should look at it for a guide on how to do things right. You need two valves for each bag. 1 fill valve. 1 dump valve. Go to CPP's website for alot of good technical install articles.

Re: airbag setup!!!!!
Its not necesary to have two valves per bag. You could get away with just four valves. 2 valves for the front and 2 for the rears. I personally have 8 valves because i like to be able to control/tweak my ride height. I can control every corner as i wish. with only 4 valves you would be sharing the fill/dump for the fronts. Same goes for the rears. No individual corner control.
as far as 3 inch block couldnt help you on that. I have a 2 inch on mine. I beleive a 3 inch is too big. When aired out your diff will hit the bed. Rear bag cups arent necessary. I dont have them on mine will allow you to go lower. Bolt in c-notch is a very easy install. The hardest part is removing the rivets! Theres a how to on rear bag install w/o cups but i cant find it. Hope this helps. DZL1. Last edited by DZL1; 05-11-2010 at 11:12 AM. |

Re: airbag setup!!!!!
thanks for the kind words, gang!
like most will tell you, 8 valves is the way to go. some have gone with 4 valves. a dump and fill on the rear and a dump and a fill on the front. however, connecting both front bags with one line and both of the rear bags with one line will cause lean and yawl on cornering. you need an independent setup that only a 8 valve setup will give you. spring for a good quality valve. the money spent now will pay for itself later! take a look over in the suspension section for other members trucks. these guys know a LOT more than I ever will. make sure you don't ask Keith (lolife99) any questions....... he has a funny way of making your wallet open and cash fly out of it!!! !!
