Chalet style on CL Seattle

He wants to trade for a dirt bike. A little moss killer and it could look good.

I don't think it's worth the kind of dirt bike he's looking for, but who knows...

Re: Chalet style on CL Seattle

Seems like he has as many rules as the Blazer has moss.

Re: Chalet style on CL Seattle

The bike he want's is in the 4-6K range or better, plus he's 'tossing out' the Chalet topper which for me would be the whole reason for aquiring that 72 moss-mobile.

I just made a similar trade recently, my 06 KTM exc for a 4x4, so maybe he'll find what he's looking for...dunno.

Guy kinda sounds like a prick. I wouldn't want to deal with him just based on his CL ad.

"Chalet" only refers to the GM factory Chinook-designed pop up campers that were available on '76-'77 Blazers (the GMC equivalents were called "Casa Grande"). What you see there is a 4Wheel brand camper. Hallmark campers were also made to fit the Blazers, too.

When I use my multiple searches to look for Chalets, one variation I use is this set pf words in a Google search window "blazer camper site:craigslist.org", because some sellers don't know what they have, so they just call them 'campers'. Try another word variation like blazer pop up site:craigslist.org, or others where the truck name is different like chevy k5 camper site:craigslist.org. The important bit is that the words "site:craigslist.org" remain the same and that there is one space before that string.

More often than not, I turn up ordinary shells, but I have seen a decent number of 4Wheel campers and a few Hallmark campers on 1st & 2nd gen Blazers. I've tended to ignore them, since they aren't what I'm after.

This is why I titled the thread "Chalet Style"

No moss on this one: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1687800829.html
1971 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4
Ochre Yellow
350 engine
Turbo 400 transmission
205 transfer case
3.73 differential
137,000 give or take miles as it is used periodically
Camper conversion with built in stainless porto/potty, stove, refrigerator and heater

In a nut shell, this is a VERY clean 1971 blazer.......
