What Repop parts are better than NOS...if any?
The above question was asked and its a good one. It has been said that NOS is always better then repops. Two parts come to mind that might be an exception is...I have been told that the Repops Inner fenders and Rocker panels are as good if not better than NOS. What's your opinions? Name some Repop parts that you might consider to be equal or better than NOS...

The Repop Rockers are made of heaver metal than the original ones.
I used the repops on my Suburban and sold my NOS ones. |

Many people believe that NOS is the only way to go and in many cases that is true such as the Deluxe Marker lights that have the trim. But there are some repop parts that are as good if not better. Reason for going repops if all else is equal is cost savings. Others.....

I hear that the inner fenders are a pretty good fit

Re: What Repop parts are better than NOS...if any?
I've had an NOS tailgate and a Triplus repop with the stamped lettering. They weigh the same, metal thickness is the same. You have to make sure you're getting the Triplus brand because I have seen some of the others (smooth-without the letters) that bend if you sit on them...
The only difference between the two gates is the quality of the spot welds and welds in general.....and the repop looks better. If you're going for a 100pt resto....get an NOS gate... If you're restoring a nice truck/resto-mod...get the gate with lettering for 300-350 and save $500 towards something else.....

Re: What Repop parts are better than NOS...if any?
I've also had NOS weatherstrip/bumpers, etc and they look identical to the repops.....other than the fact that they're old and the repops are new and about 1/5 of the price...
Just got some blazer NOS weatherstrip and there is some cracking in it so I'll most likely throw that back up on ebay and get some Repops...
