My intro and a few pics of my 62 panel
Hello
I have been lurking here for a about a year. I felt it was about time I introduced myself. I live in far Northern California, Redding to be exact. Although I had yet to post I have gained some great info from you guys, thanks. The panel came with a 350/350 combo and was already converted to 5 lug power brakes, thanks to the 80 something front and rear. I cut the front coils and heated the rears. I know not the right way, but what the hell I needed to lower it on a 0 dollar budget. I have also put 2000 Silverado front seats in it. Plans call for 2003 Tahoe 3rd row seats in the back, I already have the brackets and the seats. The seats are out of the wifes Tahoe, they usually just take up space in my garage, so I figured why not. The Westcoast mirrors are now gone, in favor of some stock round ones. Well thanks again for letting my into the Chevy truck party Justin Before After |

Re: My intro and a few pics of my 62 panel
I hope your joking about the pinstripes. The before pic really isn't totally before, the white secion on the sides had MC Escher Birds in black and white and Monster teeth painted on the back. Can we say PROBABLE CAUSE. LOL
It is due for some nice pinstripes though. I don't think that guy is a wrecking yard. I see his adds but have never met him. There is a yard with about 8 60-66 Chevy and GMC's in it that I have picked up a few things from, all my mirrors, taillight pigtail and such and another that has a few grilles hanging on the wall. Re: My intro and a few pics of my 62 panel
Nice rig and thanks for sharing.
I have family in Butte City & Willows, CA, as well as, Central Point, OR. I get out there a few times a year...I see a lot of '60-'66 Chevy/GMC rigs in northern, CA & southern, OR, so you shouldn't have any problems finding good, used parts in that part of the country. Welcome aboard! |

Welcome to the forum Justin
Nice panel you have. What are your future plans besides the seats?

Re: My intro and a few pics of my 62 panel
Thanks for all the nice comments guys. For future plans, I'm not really sure. I am just continueing to make it a nice driver. It is after all my only driver right now. I do have plans for headers and new pipes, there is currently an aborion of metal pipe doing that job. I also have all the stuff collected up for power steering, which will make DDing it much more comfortable. I guess it is straighter than most? If you look at the before pic around the tail light you can the I have done the bodywork there. The light color is very forgiving, its a great 20 footer. With regards to 4x4ing it, well sorry to say I'm affraid of heights. LOL. Hey Fryer nice garage you have there, I like all that room.
