That sounds like the imense amount of work I was alluding to. To someone with lots of metalwork and fabrication experience, this would be doable, but a lot of work nonetheless.

There was a guy here a couple years ago that started that same kind of project. He started his build thread, posted a lot of photobucket photos along the way too. It looked like his fab skills were above average, and it looked like he had a nice shop. But, he ran into all kinds of issues (can't remember exactly what they were.) Then all of a sudden, all the photobucket pics were gone, and he was never heard from again. I assume he was embarrassed to tell everyone he had made a big mistake and he probably parted out the truck. Stop your buddy before he's embarrassed.

I remember that one also, but I couldn't find it for a reference to this thread. I agree that he likely abandoned the project, parted it out and went on with life.
