water splash guard?
hey yall, went mudding today and my air filter got soaked after the first puddle, i usually dont play in too much water but hey had to try it out...
water was probably three inches deep// but enough of it got into the aircleaner for me to be concerned. any ideas for a splash guard? thanks!

I am assuming you have an open element air cleaner? If so it would be hard to do especially with the fan throwing water around.

If you use a K&N oil type filter there should be little to worry about as far as what water might splash up there. Are the wheel wells sealed off? A little rubber flap can go along way in keeping debris out of the motor bay.

This might help a little, but for the best protection I would think the stock set up.
It goes over the filter, as a pre-filter. Made to help keep some of the dust from the main filter.

dangit.. i guess i'll get at "stock" element filter..
i would love one of those dual cole air inlets but momma wont let me spend the cash. =-(

Yea x2! I run the stock one on 2 of my trucks the big Chevys got an open element but it sits so high it usually don't get 2 dirty
