Question about Bucket Seats - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Anybody have any good info on what bucket seats make a good fit in a 65? I am 6ft so they have to have a pretty thin back not to push me too close to the steering wheel. I want to find some that have headrest and some side support if possible.

Pictures would be nice too :-)

One thing I've noticed in the 88-98 Chevy trucks seats is that you sit higher in bucket seats. I'm 6'4" so I've never really felt that comfortable in them. The bench and 60-40 seats have been more comfortable for me. You feel like you sink in a little on the bench where the buckets kinda hold you up more.

Hi there . I put a set of seats out of 2000 Silverado in my 65 . They are great . They have the built in shoulder harness and a fold own arm rest console gizmo . I am 6 ft and the only problem for me was the steering wheel is a little close . but the column can be slid in a little bit to take care of that . I didn't have to modify anything to get them in . Just drill some holes and bolt them down . My kid has the truck right now so I can't post any pics .
