Cool Project BURB!!!

Hey Guys and Gals, I thought I would run this by you all. We will be finishing the son's 67 GMC up this week and we are going to try to get my 67 finished up in the next few months but we are also starting a new project. THE BURB! I figure we would use the new quaters and stuff coming out we would go ahead and test fit some of the parts on my Burb. Starting when we get our first shipment of them. Here is a picture of what we are starting with. Which most of you all have done seen. This is going to be our Offical Pull Burb! For the parts trailer. We are going with a 68 Chevy front end with cowl hood. All out of aftermarket sheetmetal except for the grill shell its self. We are going to try and use all the aftermarket stuff we can. That way when someone ask how does it fit? I can point at the Burb. We are going to paint it red with a white top. I hope to show you all a little progress in the next couple of months.

Hmm, I will DEFINITELY keep an eye on this...

Call me a dreamer...but when I get the money to, I want to get my parents each a vehicle that they really want...my dad, it'll be a '70s 911 with a few choice mods, and my mom, well, the other day she said if gas prices / money were no issue, she'd be driving a big lifted 4x4 fire-engine-red Suburban...she never said what year, so a '67-'72 is the plan!

q?

Are those 2 filler necks on the rear quarter? Where would you put another tank? Or is it one of those 10 foot whip antenna bases you see at baja? I sent 1 of 3 boxes out your way this afternoon. thanks again bruce

Thats a very good idea to use the aftermarket parts. That will probably help sell lots of parts.

I just picked up an auxilary tank for my burb. It is a 13 gallon tank and it was built to fit right behind the factory tank. (there is plenty of room). I plan to put the filler behind the marker light.

It did have a auxilary tank like you are talking about. I have done removed it. It was in bad shape. I am going to do away with the other filler neck also.

The eyes of the world are upon you Tim . Like the rest I'll be looking forward to seeing it. Guess I need to work faster. Looks like you might finish 3 before I get 1 done.

Hey Guys, I insalled a new metal tank, straps, sending unit, fuel pump and rubber sections of the lines today also installed electric brake controller for my trailer. Going to put some rallys and new tread on her tomorrow. I will try to post a picture. I hope to use her this weekend to pull the parts trailer to a local show!

Hey Tim!

I know how busy you are and how long it takes to do a Burb. You better add a year to your time schedule as I have seen the Burb!

Good luck, looking forward to the progress!
