Correct the 99 ups are 8x170mm and every other truck in the country is 8x6.5". My dad says some engineer probably made the change so it would look like he was doing something. Another question is what would the 97 F350s be? They were still the older body style, personally I would take a good measuring device.

The 8 lug pre-99, and non 7 lug fords were all 8 on 6.5 just like the chevy's and dodges. The hub bore is where there were slight differences. And hub centric vs lug centric.
