Thanks Randy.
I check Craigslist everyday,... but for some reason I didn't look on the day that Keith contacted me.
It gets depressing seeing high priced junk on the internet.
(I don't mind spending the $$$ for a nice truck,... just not junk)

That's why I jumped so quick on this one.

Re: Bought Another Truck- 1970 Stepside

Man, that is nice. Some of "our" trucks need to remain intact and original as there is a dwindling number of them surving all the hack & chopping. The wife is looking for a 49/50 Chevy truck, but she wants it in an original state, not restored or even painted. Anyway, it's something to think about........

Keith,

That is a very nice truck. I know what you mean about a lot of over priced trucks on the internet. I've been looking for a nice 71-72 for a while.

I'm developing a plan.
I like the Billet Specialties wheels idea.
I wish I could find original bench seat upholstery in the Parchment color.

The SPID sheet is faded and hard to get a good picture.
There's only two options on it.
Bronze paint, and gold(?) vinyl trim.

So the interior will probably be switched to black.

i kindah liked the colour of the current bench think its destressed leather i seen it being used on some of the house sofas

maibe someone that upholsters cars and trucks can spice it up a bit by making channels across the seat and back area that should be enough to make it look like it belongs there

Keith, Congrats. I talked to the owner on Thu morn and he said someone was coming down to buy it. Joe'sJunk has a perfect original seat for this truck I think. Congrats again. Mike.

Keith, I would call Jerry Brown at The Truck Shop in Tenn. I know he isn't the answer to everything, but he has been into these trucks longer than anybody I know. He did my interior from a bolt he had stashed away. My truck still has that new car smell. Call him, he may can help you with this. Or he may laugh...Worth the call though.

You Missouri guys find all the good ones. If I didn't live in Texas, I'd be jealous.

Keith, That is one clean stepside. Looks like you got a great deal. I know how hard they are to find in that good of shape.
