Rear Shock-Absorber Relocation a Necessity?!?
I want to drop the rear-end of my truck 3 inches (it's currently at stock height, long bed). Will it be necessary to relocate the shocks? Just want my ride to have a level stance.

I believe it only applies to 4" and lower.

I personally think it's a good idea even w/ a 2-3" inch drop. I have the 3" Early Classic coils. Even with new KYB gas shocks, the rear bounced up and down too much. Adding their shock reclocation brackets let the shocks travel more, which made a tremendous difference. I followed my wife down a "roller coaster" road before and after I installed the brackets. Before the brackets, it looked like the truck had worn rear shocks. After, there was less vertical movement and much faster recovery. As a side benefit, I have much better control on rough roads. Even my wife noticed the difference.

My truck is fairly low and I have zero issues with un-relocated shock mounts. It rides great and has lots of control in the rear... and others who don't know anything about this stuff have complimented the ride as well. Maybe it's the shock I'm using ??
