Replaced my tired Accel Supercoil distributor with a clear one from skip white with 20,000 more volts!

Re: Clear dizzy!

I had a clear cap (summit) and had issues which were fixed with a new msd cap. Didn't make sense to me. Looked cool while I had it though. On my new engine I have a skip white hei like you. I wouldn't trust the 65,000 volt claim. I know one problem with mine is how slow the mechanical advance advances. Need to get some springs for that..

I hope mine is advancing as it should, not sure..... I have been messing with the timing, etc. and not having to remove the cap to see the rotor is a real plus!!

Re: Clear dizzy!

I get a good 22 or so degrees of advance, it just comes in really slowly. I'm going to try a D.U.I. cap (I know the quality unlike the summit crap) down the road, a clear one is just too cool
