what is this?

can any body help me identify what this isand teel me what it does. i am starting to build my wire harness and dont know if i need to keep it. it is on the firewall on the drivers side behind the hood hinge.

I do believe that is for an emission thing that you probably don't need. No idea how it worked

smog equipment. ESC I think is what it was called. You can remove it, and the wires, and the little gizmo it controls in the vac mile going to the dist.

Transmission Spark Control -- TSC. The vacuum advance was disabled until the coolant temp is above 32 degrees, and the transmission is in high gear.

This system was on my 70 GMC. I thought that the TSC started in 69 but I have not been able to verify that.

X2 at lease this is what I was told , I took it out didn't need it My 72 had it.
